Overview
JustFit is aimed at women who want to workout at home. The app pitches itself as a low effort option for getting fit, where the majority of workouts are beginner friendly and low intensity.
An auto generated training plan is the main focus of this app, where a workout schedule is created for you based on your current fitness levels and workout goals.
The app contains some great additional features, all geared around helping you smash your fitness goal. You can track your body weight over time, and also set daily calorie targets which are linked to your daily workouts.
Unfortunately, outside of the auto generated workout plan and progress tracking, the rest of the content is quite limited. Also, the app is quite annoying to use as you are constantly bombarded with upgrade popups and banners asking you to review the app.
Sweat is also aimed at the female user, and was founded by fitness influencer Kayla Itsines. Again the workouts are aimed for women who want to exercise at home, and there are over 300 exercise routines in the library to choose from.
Workouts range in difficulty and intensity, and you can find a huge range of options on offer including HIIT, yoga, barre, Pilates, and even post pregnancy workouts.
The great things about Sweat are the huge range of supporting features, and the vibrant community of fellow fitness enthusiasts who comment daily in the built-in forums. Sweat comes complete with excellent progress tracking features and reward badges, and even has a nutrition section where you are given a healthy meal plan for the day.
Both apps require a paid subscription to use costing $19.99 per month.
Which is better? JustFit or Sweat?
Considering both apps are the same price for a monthly subscription, Sweat is the hands down winner. The content is better, with much more variation in workout type and intensity levels. Also there is so much more in regards to supporting features, with the nutrition section, community forum and achievement badges.
Additionally, using JustFit is annoying due to the multitude of upgrade popups and reports of users being misled by offers of free trials.
We would recommend Sweat as the best workout app!
