Overview
Centr is an all round workout and nutrition app, created by the fitness team behind Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth. The workouts in the app are mostly focused on strength exercises and HIIT routines, with a mixture of self-guided and instructor led videos.
The app has a huge nutrition section with hundreds of healthy recipes included. The main feature of Centr is giving you a recommended workout and a full meal plan every day, which is great for someone looking for an option to cater to all their fitness and nutrition planning.
Fitbod is a similar app, with its main goal of providing you with all your strength based workouts, however takes a very different approach in how it generates the routines. The app uses computer algorithms that create fully customized workout routines based on your goals and previous workout data.
The exercises are largely based on equipment you find in the gym (there are over 400 pieces of equipment available to select from), which makes Fitbod a great app if you are looking for help with your gem sessions.
Everything is super configurable and flexible, and you can easily edit the workouts that Fitbod generates for you. Its possible to swap out specific exercises, update sets or rep counts, or even ditch the whole workout and get Fitbod to generate a new one for you.
Both apps require a paid monthly subscription to use. Centr is $29.99 per month, while Fitbod works out alot cheaper at $12.99.
Which is better? Centr or Fitbod?
If you are simply looking for an app to help you plan your gym sessions, then Fitbod is a great option at an affordable price. The app is so flexible it will be able to handle nearly any type of gym routine.
